9e Captain! My Captain!

Rumours have been seeded and grown and it appears that Ebony Wilder, the Ms Marple style housekeeper of the Lemurian Abbey, operated a smuggling ring and had connections to dubious seafaring types from China who purport to have bottled the exilir of creativity.

She is none other than the notorious Captain Ebony Wilder, whose exquisite mind and swashbuckling style was the talk of the Lemurian Seas.

Enchanteur has talked Ebony into coming out of retirement to lead another adventure.

Out with the fluffy slippers and the rocking chair.
Join Ebony on a new voyage to discover an ancient civilization and locate this elixir of creativity.
All directions are on the Calabar. All posts will appear on the Calabar.
As deckhands you need to be agile and begin to move from blog to blog within the Lemurian network.

  1. That’s it, I can’t hold it in any longer, just who is that man in the bottle!!!???

  2. Oh well spotted Imogen! Give us a clue, go on, you know you want to tell! Oh, the drawings are so impressive, fabulous depth and colour.

  3. I wondered when someone would ask. It is Willie Loman from Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller.

Each of us has a Willie Loman inside. He is the conservative, staid, work ethic based critter who is bland and colourless and leads a very ordinary life.

When I made an armband and found colour creeping out from under the edges, the arms of joyful monkey’s stretching out from behind the conservatism I did not know that I would end up bottling that former self.

  4. Absolutely makes perfect sense! A great story, and I remember Willie Loman as a character. Thanks so much for explaining, because it adds so much more;-)

  5. Oh yes! I went to The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to see that play years ago – terrific play, lovely theatre – so embarrassing for the person I was with that I fell asleep! Think I’ve been exhausted for ever!
