9c Abbey Dream Seeds

Dream Seeds for the Abbey
by Heather Blakey

Travellers will recall that le Enchanteur marked New Year by planting Dream Seeds at Riversleigh Manor

She told people to choose a blank seed packet from the box on the table in the garden shed.

More dream seeds are available for residents in the Abbey. There will be enough for everyone.

Take the time to reflect and consider what you hope will blossom from your work in the Abbey. Design the seed packet, label it and plant one of Enchanteur’s dream seeds into a pot filled with some of the composted soil they have down in the greenhouse.

Go out and buy a small pot and plant some seeds. Put this in a sunny spot and ake care of it over the coming months. Keep a record of the seed’s journey. At the same time look for signs that the seed you planted in the pot in the Abbey is flourishing as well.

  1. I love this picture! The way she holds that basket of seeds up so high is, well…uplifting, wouldn’t you say?!! Suggests that these are seeds of hope and light and creativity. Ooooh can’t wait to plant some. Mmmm, wonder if I have a nice pot to honour such magical seeds?

  2. I actually think this pic is quite incredible! It has some kind of movement and you can almost tell what the weather is. The colours are divine ;-)

  3. It’s 3:58am in England. I’m swallowing all available dream seeds in the hope that where there’s a dream there’s sleep. I’d like to dream my way right through this category – hope that’s allowed!

  4. they remind me of cocoa seeds = chocolate – now what could be better to induce a feeling of wellbeing and dreaming …

  5. wow! how about cuttings instead of seeds – I was just in the greenhouse – we have had several killing frosts – and the citrus have all come inside but there are still sweet peppers, squash and beans toughing it out.

Today I wondered if there might be just one more sunny southern windsow sill for the sweet peppers…and perhaps the peppers can be the mirror that reflects my growth in the Abbey.
