Mermaid

Out in the deep waters, near Mudjimba, a solitary mermaid plays a soothing song, calling travellers, urging them to come and spend time with her in her pearly shell before they journey on to the palace of the Triton.

  1. Wow, is all I can say!

  2. I know of at least one person who is looking forward to that… :-)

This mermaid is great Heather, it looks like her hair is on fire.

    Ooo la la.

  3. What a temptress! As wild as everyone’s been at having fun, the Mermaid’s soothing song may put us all to sleep.

  4. I love your mermaid. She is a beauty. And such gorgeous colours. Your art work is first class.

  7. Siren songs- dangerous stuff. We need to be wary here.

  8. Ahem..and who exactly are you talking about Shewolf?

  9. Who should we be wary of, do you mean? Well, I would say that the siren might want to be wary of you and your friends (we are all wary of your friends) but that the rest of us might want wax for our ears for the siren. If Kincross leaves any of her behind, that is.

  10. Hmmm..I think it’s time for Kincross to make a show of it.

    Oh boy.

    :-)

  11. I’ll bring the puppy chow.

  12. Good move Lori. Let us just hope the puppy chow quenches her appetite. I doubt that Kinross will eat the mermaid who is bringing her supper Jane :-)

  13. Oh my. This mermaid definitely sounds like trouble.

  14. Mermaids usually are trouble with a capital T. Ask any sailor who has met one :-)

  15. I hope old ladies are immune to trouble for I’d love to visit this maiden. Fran

  16. I add this to the Mermaids Treasure Trove, perhaps in a little pouch of Memories Long Past

I have been walking with you Lois

    we may walk together
    on the Southern

We two old ones ,have been stepping together

  17. I’ll be using some beeswax I think!

  18. I am sure the lovely maiden will make tea for YOU Fran. It is not usually older women who are in danger from such lovely creatures, who are not, necessarily anything like what smitten sailors, suffering from unrequited love would have you believe.

  19. Ooooh she is fab! – I would definitely take a visit ;o)

  20. hmm-one wonders what magics to use against a mermaid in order to learn her tales :-)
or at least to yank her tail–whichever works best :-)

  21. [...] there were stops I had to make on the way. First I want to spend some time with the mermaid calling out from her shell. I wanted to see her before Triton so that I could hear her calming [...]

  22. But is the calm time in the mermaid’s shell just the calm before the storm?

PS – Love the rainbow hair these ladies are wearing of late….
