Do I Dare?

My heart all aflutter
Vivid imagery infiltrates my dreamtime
Like falling in love
Only better.
Its inspiration
A call to distant lands
An adventure, A wild ride
These and more await my fervent step
Across the portal.

I hesitate.
Can I? Shall I? Do I dare?
The vista is breathtaking.
I try on my wings, sturdy and lightweight.

One deep breath,
Two,
In
Out…..
I leap off the cliff….
I fall
Fall
Falling
Fearing, falling, can’t breathe!!

Oh wait

I remember my wings.

Breath, concentrate.
Not fearing; trusting, hoping, beleiveing.
Not falling; Flying! Soaring!

I’M FLYING!!
Flying forth
On wings of creativity.
My heart all aflutter.
Not falling, but flying
To adventure!
