Pushing the Portal Envelope

To the extent that a portal gives us access to realms unknown or opportunities shimmery in contemplation, my musing would not be complete if it did not touch on a meta-portal concept, i.e. a portal on portals. So, I will put on my ‘cuin’ cloak and wax a bit pedantic – which is not to say I will reveal any truths – just that those weak of metaphysical stomach may wish to pass this morsel by.

My offerings here will touch on several things, from which the reader might extract a thought or two, or in negation, explore their own perceptions:

+ all things tangible and imagined in this Attention are interconnected.
+ our existence is the product (confluence) of the intersect of jillions of these connecting lines called LOE (Lines Of Experience) or Lurrenty (love+current+ley lines).
+ we can exert some control over the intensity of these LOE in our lives
+ this effort (intent or will) affects all other LOE in unknown, but often predictable ways.
+ We have the ability (capacity) to change both our ‘past affect’ and ‘future propensity’ though this process.
+ interaction with other people provides access to additional LOE Portals

NOW – if that makes sense you probably do not have to read further. If none of it makes sense you probably should not read further. Of course, you could always get my book “Phinominal Propengicks” and gain some insight (I can W-mail it to you also), but you may be far ahead of me here.

For convenience I will use LOE to refer to those energy lines over which we pretend to have some control, and Lurrenty for those which affect us in a ‘read only’ fashion. Your LOE may be someone else’s Lurrenty and visa-versa. ‘Currents’ applies to both in a sloppy way.

It is simple to view time as an infinite line, with the past being what has happened before, and the future a notebook yet to be filled – with ‘now’ being but a dividing line between the two. An expansion would be that each point in the line is the intersection of multiple LOE, of which “decisions made”, “interactions with others”, “changes in value orientation”, and “acquisition of knowledge” are but a few. Certainly, anything which we consider a ‘past event’ will have affected many of these LOE in varying degrees. Likewise, any future event will also affect numerous Currents, regardless of our intent. ‘Now’, of course, is an opportunity to directly affect several LOE through deliberate choice. Such a construct should be able to be held in mind with ease.

Now to embellish a bit and imagine how all of the LOE function within the various Zones of Knowledge (see Trebusca). I will state these ‘extensions’ as fact, though they are only theory or guided guess. Thus, they represent a functional model that may or may not be true, but will serve to answer many questions until a better model evolves. Phinominal Expansion must also apply in some way, but I will not address that here.

First off, accept that the LOE of past events and those of future potential are not separate, but form a continuous loop. In simplest view, past events bias future events. This might be stated as, “a predisposition to act a certain way in the past increases the propensity that you will act that way again, under similar circumstances.” Furthermore, the quantity of such events in the past affects the opportunity for that Currents to be important in the future. And the congruency of past actions as they affect several LOE increases the propensity that an opportunity will exist in the future for making a similar decision. Perhaps such phrases as, “as ye sow so shall ye reap,” “you make your own luck,” and “what goes around comes around” will find a new vitality.

Now, appreciating that future events will also affect past LOE will be more difficult to grasp, and I will deal with that later on. For now just pretend that future decisions in events will bias the congruency of ALL Lurrenty influence – and when the event happens is immaterial. The flow of creative energy is continuous, simultaneous and ‘timeless’. The key is that you can influence the propensity for things to happen in your life – love, magick, health, wealth and happiness, etc. In return, past events will become linked, forming Currents, such that you will more readily remember and relate to past events of love, magick, health, etc.

For example, working on becoming more ‘healthy’, perhaps through diet and exercise, will reinforce all past experiences in which you were more ‘healthy’ and drag along with them all the good feelings and experiences attendant thereto. The result will be an increase in opportunity to do ‘healthy’ things, like discovering new restaurants and discovering a fondness for broccoli. To the extent that ‘being healthy’ affects your love life – more opportunities will exist there as well. Simple! Now the tough part. All Lurrenty are interconnected – everyone and at all times. As you become more ‘healthy’ you are also ‘tuned in’ with all others who are similarly ‘healthy minded’; now, in the past and in the future. The basic view is that Lurrenty ARE! You just have to learn to listen. An alternate analogy could be that Currents are musical strings that you can carress or pluck, and that all others can then resonate to the music.

Explore a common scenario: Opening a Business

Yes, you have tried this twice before and failed, and have collected many stories about other people’s failures. You wish to try again, and know you must do something different. You could review all of those depressing failures and resolve never to make those same mistakes again. There is a better way. Tap into the LOE of successful business. Review memories of all successful businesses and find common denominators. You can also read books by successful owners. You are using your knowledge of past failure to filter out other ‘poor’ opportunities and focusing on workable ones. So you start doing the work on your new business – mission statements, organizational plan, etc. Something magickal will happen. You will begin to remember events in which such organizational work paid off. You will begin to form links of LOE based on success oriented thinking. As you open your business many opportunities will come your way. You will able to select reasonable ones consistent with your business model because you have ‘trained your past’ to nurture these future opportunities. Yes, you could rationally say that you have now added to your experience and new, better choices are clear. The difference is that the ‘rational approach’ presumes a continuous supply of decision type opportunities. That’s work! A faith in LOE will result in only ‘good’ opportunities offering themselves – partially because your ‘new vision’ will make you blind to poor ones, but also that you actually create these opportunities. That is why ‘what you are doing right now’ is so essential. Each complex action affects many LOE that ripple through Currents both back to previous events and forward into future ones. You are not ‘re-creating the past’, but giving each event new meaning and relevance. This also means there is no such thing as ‘failure’ – just events waiting fulfillment in a new relationship of Currents.

It has been said the ‘who you are’ is a product of everything you have ever done, thought, voiced, dreamed and imagined. By extension, everything you will ever be is also a product of experience. Freud said, “you can only learn that which life has prepared you for.” More accurately, you can only actualize that which experience has prepared you. The new message is that ‘prepare’ is a continuous process of creation. You do not have to learn additional things in order to grow – you must grow in order to learn new things – and this accomplished through gaining new relevance from experience. Additionally, such experience might also reach into other Zones of Knowledge, drawing from Tribal Memories or communication with deity. All you have to do is remember, and as you accept the ubiquitous linking of Currents – tapping into prior knowledge of others. There are those who claim to be able to see into the future. They actually are looking into the past and detecting Currents which you either embrace, or with little nudging, might embrace. The only thing a seer can give you is confidence to pay heed to your own memories manifest in future opportunities. Everything in your life is/will be a ‘self- fulfilling prophesy’. You actually can train your past experiences to work on your behalf.

Now you understand why I view that every interaction with another as a Portal, and embrace that I am Portal for all – as it should be.
